Local Artists Supported by Sun Valley Automotive
Sun Valley Automotive Repair

Locally Owned and Operated

Why is there a page about local Las Vegas artists on our Sun Valley Automotive repair website? Because unlike a lot of businesses and even corporations that claim they are a ‘local small business’, we really are! SVA was founded, and has been owned and operated for over 25 years, by Terry Buis.
As an artist himself who enjoys writing and creating music, on top of running a busy automotive shop, Terry knows how important support and visibility is to small business artists.
To help support local artists in the Las Vegas area, just as SVA’s new and old customers have supported us all these years, we have created this page promoting artists that have provided their amazing services and works of art to our shop.
Take a look below to see our favorites, and if you have any Las Vegas artist you would like to support yourself, give us a shout-out in the comments section below!
Fernando’s Eco Friendly Hanging Planters
If you’ve visited our shop recently, you’ve probably seen the beautiful painted plant hangers decorating our outdoor gazebo and inside the front office too.
Our dear friend Fernando is working hard to establish his planter business and help support his growing family with these long lasting gorgeous planters. Crafted out of recycled tires and painted with care, these planters are ready to hang – complete with drainage holes.
They are priced at $60 + tax. You can purchase the planters directly from the shop, or if you have a custom order just call the shop and let us know!
Cowboy Creations by Steven Brehm Sr.
This local artist discovered his talent quite by accident when, in 2004, his nephew (who is a professional motorcycle racer), asked him to build a tire rack. At the time Steven did not have a welder, but a sponsor for his nephew’s racing career soon showed up with a new welder that he kindly told Steven he could keep.
With the new welder, Steven began creating little odds and ends just for fun, especially using old horseshoes. When he was laid off from his job in 2009 during the economic recession, he decided maybe it was time to see if his artistic works could help to bring in additional income.
So, he tried his hand at selling his horseshoe pieces at a Pahrump farmer’s market, and soon discovered that they were quite popular and sold well. In July 2010, Steven obtained his business license and started showcasing his works in Nevada, California and Arizona, and Cowboy Creations was born.
In addition to working at a job he loves, Steven also enjoys the new people he meets at his shows and working on custom pieces. You can contact Steven at 702-321-8246 and see a few of his pieces at our shop!
